Information we collect:
Registering as a Site User
To access most of the functionality at our website as a Customer, we require that you become a registered user and agree to comply with the terms of our User Agreement. You must also choose a unique username and password, or use your existing Distributor ID and password to register as a User and to access your account. To become a registered user, we require that you provide your name, and valid and current email address, so that we may contact you, when necessary, concerning activity that is relevant to your account.
When you place an order, we require that you provide your name, mailing address, billing address, email address, phone number, credit card number and its expiration date. All of this information is necessary for us to complete the transaction and notify you of your order status. If you are ordering products for the first time, we also require that you choose a user name and password so that we can register you as a valid user. Finally, we maintain a history of the products you have ordered or saved to your account.
How We Use Your Information:
We may use your email address, mailing address and/or phone number to provide quality customer support or to reach you regarding order status, product or fulfillment issues and other customer service related activities. We may use your email address, mailing address and/or phone number to contact you regarding new product offerings and other aspects of your use of our web site. If, however, you do not wish to receive such communications, you have the ability to "opt-out" at any time and you will not be contacted further.
From time to time, we may ask you to answer surveys regarding current or future products. Participation in these surveys is always optional. Survey responses are only used in the aggregate, and are never linked to an individual. While our survey data is primarily for use within our organization only, we may occasionally share the aggregate survey data with our affiliates and development partners in order to facilitate new product development and improve customer service and overall customer satisfaction.
Like most every website, our web site records certain tracing information any time someone visits the site. For every web page that is viewed, our web server records an IP address, the operating system, browser version and the name of the page that was viewed. This information is not linked to any specific user and is used in the aggregate to maintain, track performance and improve our web service.
Email & "Opt Out" Policy
We may use your email address provided during the User Registration process and in the Admin Section to contact you regarding the following:
1. User Registration Status (including confirmation of account signup);
2. Order Status and Shipping Notification
3. Online Customer Satisfaction Survey
4. Major changes to the website, addition of new products or services;
5. Promotional and gearing materials that we think you may find useful.
If you wish to not receive any of these emails you may opt-out by submitting your address to our Support Team, whose contact information can may be found on the Contact Us link at the bottom of this web page.
Updating Your Information
Retail customers and distributors can update or correct their personal information at any time by visiting the "My Account" section of our web site.
Our web site uses secure sockets layer (SSL) to encrypt the transfer of sensitive information, such as your account password and billing information, from your web browser to our web server.
Only the last four (4) digits of your credit card number will be displayed in your account. When you place an Order with us, you are given an opportunity to select if you wish to have your credit card numbers stored on our system. Emails you send to us may not be secure unless otherwise told that security measures will be in place prior to your transmitting the information. For this reason, we ask that you do not send confidential information such as credit card numbers or account numbers to us through emails.
The same SSL protocol also acts to authenticate the our web site and prevent unauthorized "hackers" from masquerading as us. This is accomplished through a "digital certificate", which is an unforgettable electronic "identity card".
If another website attempts to falsely identify itself as our website, your web browser will display a warning indicating that there is a problem with the digital certificate for us. Do not log in to our site site if you see any such warning.
When a site states that they collect information in the aggregate, they mean for summary purposes only. For example, sites that collect IP addresses "in the aggregate" do so to answer such questions as: "How many people from America Online visited our site last week?"
When you are connected to the Internet, your computer has a unique Internet ID called an IP address. Most people that connect through a dial-up service, such as America Online, get a different IP address each time they login. Others logging in from work or school might have a permanently assigned IP address, called a static IP address. It is difficult or impossible for a website to collect personal information about you (i.e., your name, email address, etc.) from your IP address alone, although a static IP Address can be used to identify a little bit more about you (i.e., your company name or university name).
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
SSL is a communication protocol that accomplishes two things:
1. It allows your web browser to verify that a web site you are visiting is actually the site that you think it is (and not some site posing as another);
2. It lets your web browser and a web server communicate with each other (i.e., pass web pages back and forth) in a completely secure fashion through the use of very strong encryption techniques. This encrypted communication makes it impossible for anyone else to see any information passed between your web browser and our web server.
You can tell that you are on a secure page when you see the lock on the bottom right of your browser:
Before you can place an Order, or use any of our other products and services, you must agree to our Terms of Service.
